Thomas Koshy, born on 18 January 1949 and brought up in the Syro-Malankara Catholic faith, is an educationist, former Indian Naval Officer, administrator, and committed servant of God. His academic background includes postgraduate studies in English, History, and Education, along with studies in Law, Psychology, and Mass Communication.

Commissioned into the Indian Navy as an Education Officer in 1972, Thomas served in Training, Educational Administration, and Public Relations. During his naval career, he held several important appointments, including Principal of a Sainik School and the Naval Academy. He also served as Public Relations Officer for the Ministry of Defence in Kochi and New Delhi. After retiring from the Navy as a Commander in 1997, he continued his vocation in education as Principal of reputed public schools in Delhi, Kochi, Alappuzha, and Thiruvananthapuram. He has also contributed to teacher assessment at national and international levels and continues to serve as a resource person for teachers, parents, and adolescents.

His enduring passion, however, has been the Word of God. Deeply rooted in faith and Catholic tradition, Thomas undertook the remarkable discipline of hand-copying the entire Bible as well as several individual books of the Bible. He has served as a catechism teacher for adolescents and as an inspector of Sunday Schools in his diocese. Through his YouTube channel, he shares reflections on the daily Scripture readings of the Church, seeking to make the Living Word meaningful and relevant to everyday life.

Thomas was one of the Founder Directors of Malankara Multi-State Co-operative Credit Society in 2009 and served as its Managing Director from 2015 to 2020. He continues to serve as one of its Directors.
